Joyshine recently completed a 500 kg/h strawberry washing line project for a strawberry processing facility located in one of Guatemala’s key strawberry-growing regions.
At the early stage of the project, Joyshine’s sales engineer Vivian worked closely with the client’s project coordinator, referred to here as “Carlos.” Rather than immediately recommending equipment, Vivian focused on understanding Carlos’s insights about the facility’s raw material characteristics, processing expectations, and on-site conditions.
The facility specializes in fresh strawberry processing and had clear requirements for the washing stage of its production line. As strawberries are delicate by nature, the washing process needed to remove soil and impurities effectively without damaging the fruit or affecting its quality.
Based on these discussions, Joyshine proposed a customized strawberry washing line designed specifically for gentle handling. The solution includes bubble washing, a self-rotating roller air-drying section, manual inspection, and smooth transfer between each stage. Special conveyor belt materials were selected to reduce friction and protect the strawberries during washing and drying.
To ensure the solution would fit seamlessly into the facility, Vivian also worked closely with Carlos to develop a layout plan tailored to the available space and workflow. This allowed the team to clearly visualize the line before installation and ensured efficient use of the production area.
After implementation, the washing line met the client’s expectations in terms of cleaning performance, product protection, and stable output. Carlos and the processing team expressed strong confidence in the solution and appreciated Joyshine’s practical, material-focused approach to the project.
